HLTAID011 - Provide First Aid

This course unit works on the knowledge and skills needed to provide a first aid response to a person suffering a sudden illness or injury. It helps participants learn the most common first aid methods to manage injuries and illnesses and process of initial intervention in a casualty before the professional medical help is being available. This intervention may include performing CPR while awaiting an ambulance, as well as responding to other conditions such as asthma, anaphylaxis, burns, bleeding, sprains, and strains with a serious condition.

Mode of course/Delivery: face-to-face (pre-course learning preferred)

Course Duration: 60mins – 6hrs

Training Requirements: Face to face training consists of theory presentations and range of practical learning activities and scenarios.
